6TH BATTALION 52ND AIR DEFENSE ARTILLERY REGIMENT LINEAGE
- Inactivated 18 April 1944 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.
- Disbanded 14 June 1944.
- Reconstituted 28 June 1950 in the regular Army; concurrently consolidated with Battery B, 52nd Field Artillery Battalion (active), and consolidated unit designated as Battery B, 52nd Field Artillery Battalion, an element of the 24th Infantry Division.
- Inactivated 5 June 1958 and relieved from assignment to the 24th Infantry Division.
- Redesignated 1 November 1960 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 6th Battalion, 52d Artillery (organic elements concurrently constitued).
- Battalion activated 17 November 1960 at Fort Bliss, Texas.
- Redesignated 20 August 1965 as the 6th Battalion, 52d Artillery.
- Redesignated 1 September 1971 as the 6th Battalion, 52d Air Defense Artillery.
- Batteries A and C participated in Operation Desert Shield and Storm from December 1990 until May 1991. |
