- Redesingated 15 July 1918 as Battery F, 52d Artillery (Coast Artillery Corps).

- Inactivated 16 May 1921 at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

- Activated 16 May 1921 at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

- Additionally designated 1 June 1922 as the 229th Company, Coast Artillery Corps; additional dsignation abolished 1 July 1924.

- Redesignated 1 July 1924 as Battery F, 52d Coast Artillery.

-Inactivated 1 February 1940 at Fort Monroe, Virginia.

-Activated 8 January 1941 at Fort Hancock, New Jersey.

-  Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1943 as Battery A, 288th Coast Artillery Battalion.
