I personally suggest that you use a free e-mail account like yahoo or hotmail to register.  But that is my personal perferance. www.classmates.com Now has a military section.  Registering is free, but you must be a paid member to send e-mails. www.gisearch.com is free to register and send messages.  Last time I looked it was divided by city/duty station and not individual units. www.miltary.com also free to register and send messages.  Has battalions, but not individual batteries. www.alumni.net also free, has a new miltary section.  Many are not yet listed, ask for your unit to be listed.  They have a good record that I am aware of of adding new requests. www.vetfriends.com Free to register but you must be a paid member to view lists and send messages. www.militaryconnections.com Has changed a lot over the years, but I believe it is still free to register and send messages.
