These pictures were submitted by Kathleen Ferguson, 24C. (THANKS KATHLEEN!!) Her descriptions are as follows: 1. There is one of me with the damn snow goggles on my head...to keep the blowing sand out...I wrote my Mom and begged for them I remember...What a relief when those came in mail call. 2. I believe the one of the POW's on the ground was with (MPs in the far distance)??? wasn't the black SGT/SSG/SFC......{Bruce said that is definitely SFC Stanlely on the ground.} Or am I thinking of another unit...ha ha 3. I think it is Sgt Beckham with his weapon over the bunker 4. Santiago pigging out on god knows what 5. Kramer (I thought it was Schaefer at first...but them Kramer came to mind) doing his Elvis impersonation while the wind and the rain was whipping around outside..the tents were leaking and I think that night the tents collapsed and Standing-Elk and I ran for cover in darkness to a deuce and a half...I was covered in sand in every crevice of my body....YUCK! 6. Lon Anderson... We talked a few years back he was in Louisiana doing well. 7. Then the CREW! This was in the rear right before we left...you know when we got to those trailers and got real showers...flushing toilets and a swimming pool nearby. WOW luxury!
