comments Lost my wife of 30 years to Heart Surgery Complications on 3/14/2006.Have two children Tammy and Lance five gradchildren Derick,Anthony,Dalton,Allisa,and Meia.I live on a Houseboat in Ssabrook Texas and work for a company repairing Toxic Vapor Analyzers.Some day will retire but now enjoy what Im doing.Remember the long clime up all those steps from the Maintenance Shop to the Mess Hall.Also all the good times at the NCO Club.Of all the places to be at in Korea Kunsan was the best.Did a lot of DX runs and a lot of the other TAC Sites didn't have it as good.

comments Got off the bus at Emery Kaserne bursting with enthusiasm and was immediately given a change of mos into communication or shipped to boonies. Worked for SGT. Harrison. At first learned a lot till Sgt. Harrison pulled a fast one and went to Supply. Then I didn't care and became useless. Switchboard Op, Chow truck driver, hash smuggler. Remember when Col. Bobby Watts buried the extra Hawk Missles in a river somewhere. People I remember where Gilligan (only private in the Army who drove a Mercedes), John Clay, Doc, Victor (Mexican Mailman), Stan Furlong, Mercado (Where are you man), Andy Anderson, Mike Thompson from Ohio and all the guys who went crazy as shit when they got down to their last thirty days (Bass, Thompson) and who can forget Rosa the beautiful Gypsy girl who worked in the Mess hall. Also Bill Masters who was a real piece of work. My best friend who stole my camera from my duffle bag the day I left to go home. By the way if there is anybody who can tell me where SGT. Ulyseses Grant went I would be grateful. If any body can remember when I fell out of that truck when we were called out on alert and I hurt my back and could not walk somedays there toward the end. I had to keep seeing that quack Dr.Tenent who did nothing. I filed for disability 30 years ago and can't get a response from the Army because Emery has closed and all the records are lost. If any body remembers my problems there at the end a letter from you would be helpful because I could prove to the Army I really got those bad disk on their watch.
Maybe the Army had a real reason for us being there, but it was like the song says..."a teenage wasteland!"
I am retired now and sleep all day till I am called for the chow run at 4:00. Let me hear from you grunts!
